Cosmetic Store Allergies

Whenever you find yourself in a cosmetics store, do not spray any after shave samples on the back of your hand, at your neck, on your wrist or on any open part of your body. Use the paper strips; they are there for a reason.

Take it from someone who learned the hard way: I'm very allergic to LaCoste Eau de Toilette, and if you want to see me turn red, spray some in my face, okay?

Paper-strips... Indeed.

The annoying fact however is, that you cannot know what the specific scent will be on your skin. The problem with all kinds of scents is that they react with your own specific skin-chemistry. So you might find a scent pretty decent on someone or on the paper-strip but if it reacts with your skin it might be very VERY pugnant....

Although these effects aren't usually very drastic, it might just be the difference between an excellent choice and a mediocre one.

Good luck in perfume-land
